FDA Red Blend!!
This new blend of red is super concentrated. If you are using a lot of dye in your mix, it is recommended to use poly 80.
For best results add 1.2g of dye to 600g total mix.
Mix dye into 1-2ml of water (per 400g baking soda) and dissolve.
Mix all your dry ingredients in a bowl except the Citric Acid (CA).
Add the dissolved dye into your dry ingredients until you have the achieved color you’d like.
You can now add in your oil/FO and again mix well. (Remember that the oil will slightly deepen and add to your depth of color).
Mix until no spots or streaks can be seen and then add your CA.
Depending on your humidity you may need to add a few more spritz of water.
Again remember that the water makes the color “POP” and the oil then gives depth.
